"Last year was probably one of the worst of my life"
I faced financial aid dropping me from my college course, a terrible roommate getting me evicted, and my water heater in my new apartment caught fire. Worse than all this I was becoming very sick. After seeing 5 different doctors who just thought I was anorexic, I finally was referred to a GI specialist 3 hours away.
"My intestines had ulcers throughout it"
They said I was 99% likely to have Crohn's Disease. They have me on several different medications. I have sick periods of extreme diarrhea, and swelling and pressure on my left side. No matter what I do I always have pressure in that area and I'm getting tired of it.
"I try to live everyday like tomorrow is Christmas"
Since being sick I have completely changed the way I view life. I've been more open and confident telling people about my experience because I hope someone can relate to them. I want to get better and learn about living a healthier lifestyle and dealing with stress so I can get rid of my symptoms and constant pain.
